In February of 1998 my wife and I left San Antonio, Texas on a vacation trip to Olmue Chile;
it's main purpose was to enjoy a couple of weeks with my wife's mother who was
taken seriously ill. While in Olmue I decided to look up on Jimmy Davidson, oldest
brother of Ian. Jimmy and I spoke on the phone and he told me that Ian was living in
Villa Alemana.Thanks to Jimmy I obtained Ian's phone number (which sadly has now changed to
unlisted so I have lost contact again). My brother Herbert Fisk together with two
of my nephews paid a visit to Ian's house and we had a great time recalling the 1950's
in Chuqui. Ian has retired as a manager in one of the large banks in Valparaiso. He
has two sons and one daughter and many grandchildren. He spends most of his time
making wooden toys that he exports all over the world. At the time he was
completing an order for 2000 toys cars destined to Germany. One significant fact
that he told me was that Sandy Brown had died several years ago and was buried in
Villa Alemana. May Davidson was one of Ian's older sisters, she was married to
Sandy. It was sad to learn that this wonderful man had passed away; he and May
so positively influenced the lives of many of us when we where just kids.
